Theatre Arts Admin Collection | ​Contact Improvisation Jams
Weekly Contact Improv jams take place, either to live music or ‘silent’ under the leadership of Thalia Laric. A steady group of approximately 10 contact improv dancers meet. If you would like to attend, pop in just before 7pm.

Sit the Folk Down presents Nicky Schrire and Ariella Caira | The Drawing Room Café
Nicky Schrire is a versatile and inventive vocalist and composer whose work has earned her comparisons to artists like Joni Mitchell, Tori Amos, and Esperanza Spalding.
Her work with cellist Ariella Caira (founding member of Sterling EQ, Alice Phoebe Lou, Jeremy Loops) has seen the duo collaborate with composer Matthijs van Dijk, Prime Circle drummer Kevin Gibson, and double-bill with Beatenberg frontman Matthew Field.

Dan Shout in the yard Jazz in the Native Yards
In With a Shout is a contemporary, African jazz-fusion project lead by saxophonist Dan Shout and featuring music arranged for three tenor saxophones. The compositions reflect Shout’s life-trajectory through Southern Africa – his family’s emigration from Zimbabwe, his formative years in the Namib desert and his spiritual homecoming to the slopes of Table Mountain where he now resides.

Taste at Simon’s, Groot Constantia on Sunday’s from 11am to 7pm with live entertainment from 3 – 6pm. Where friends come together to experience a day filled with good food, wine, beer and of course amazing views of the Constantia Vineyards. Enjoy the oldest vineyard in Cape Town in a relaxed outdoor or indoor setting whilst enjoying the food & wine from the valley. A one handed dancing poem to mother God (Shesus). It follows the narrative of a man who carries the stories and songs of a woman who died trying to find a prayer to a She God. These women now live and speak through Blare as they continue their search.

is a pastiche of 1960s television variety specials, particularly those performed live in supersized concert halls by Julie Andrews and Carol Burnett. Julia (Robin Botha) and Carl (David Fick) and two Julie and Carol superfans, and they are hitting the road with their long-suffering pianist (David Lubbe) to perform a cornucopia of musical theatre numbers and comedy skits in the Carnegie Hall of their minds.

What could follow The Epicene Butcher and We Didn’t Come to Hell for the Croissants? In bocca al lupo, Jemma Kahn’s third kamishibai show: a graphic and candid and whimsical journey across three continents, using four story boxes, one giant cicada, a naked Catholic (or two) and one golden surprise.
